Chrissie Kayode is a globally recognized leader in energy finance, capital innovation, and impact strategy. As Co-Director at The X Element, she is reimagining finance for impact—designing cutting-edge capital structures that unlock innovation and accelerate sustainability.

Currently overseeing a $1 billion renewable energy portfolio at a top US Energy Company , Chrissie leads landmark energy transactions and renewable tech including RECs and BESS. Her leadership has consistently delivered top-tier performance across commercial, institutional, and community energy systems, achieving over 92% uptime and identifying multimillion-dollar revenue streams through Power BI-enabled frameworks.

Previously, Chrissie co-raised $20 million in equity capital and built financial intelligence tools that recovered hundreds of thousand USD in potential losses. She has also structured ~$100 million in forex-backed transactions, blending classical finance with energy & climate-aligned infrastructure.

An Adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design, Chrissie pioneered a first-of-its-kind curriculum fusing design thinking with financial engineering to develop next-gen finance models for climate solutions. She mentors entrepreneurs through Techstars, Nasdaq, Village Capital, and the Jack Ma Foundation’s African Business Heroes, empowering founders to build investor-ready, impact-driven ventures.

Chrissie holds a Master’s in Strategic Design & Management from Parsons, a BSc in Economics from University of Ibadan, and professional training from World Bank and IFP School. She is a member of IAEE, NABE, AAAI, and Fellow at FCALM, UK, and serves on multiple advisory boards driving climate resilience and gender equity in tech and energy.
